Actor Vimal Biography, Biodata and Film List

Actor Vimal:


Tamil actor Vimal was born in a small village Pannamkombu at Manapparai in Tamilnadu. Interested in acting he came to Chennai and joined the Koothu-p-Pattarai a theatre group on Chennai.  He started his career in cine industry by playing cameo roles in Ghilli, Kuruvi and Kireedom. His break came in Pasanga where he played the male lead. He subsequently played the male lead in several small budget movies. He married his childhood friend Akshaya on December 12, 2010. The couple married after Akshaya’s parents didn’t approve their love. The couple now has a son.

Pasanga:


Pasanga is Vimal’s first movie as a male lead. The movie focused on a small boy Anbukarasu (Kishore) who comes to a new town where faces wreath from other boys. (Meenakshi Sundaram) Vimal is an insurance agent. The two families live as neighbours. There is constant fight between Anbu and Jeeva.  Jeeva’s cousin Manormani also likes and supports Anbu which irritates Jeeva.  Meanwhile Meenakshi Sundaram loves Sobikannu (Vega) who is the sister of  Jeeva.  While Jeeva opposes the marriage his parents go ahead with the marriage. The movie ends when the two  boys who started as foes ends as friends. The movie was a box office hit. The movie was widely appreciated and bagged three national awards.

Kalavani:


Kalavani was a movie based on the rural romance and action. Arikku alias Arivazhagan (Vimal) is a guy who is yet to pass his class 12 exams. His father Ramaswamy (Ilavarasu) works in Dubai. Arivazhzgan meets Maheshwari (Oviya) and falls in love with her. Maheshwari initially refuses to accept his love but finally confesses that she loves him. But Maheshwari's brother Ilango decides to get Maheshwari married for a different bride. Whether Arikki marries Maheshwari or not is the rest of the story.

Thoongaa Nagaram:


Thoonga Nagaram is a gangster movie featuring the locality of Madurai. Vimal plays the male lead as Kannan while Anjali as Radha plays the female lead .Kannan works as a wedding photographer. He falls in love with his childhood friend Anjali who works as a compere in a local channel.  One day Kannan bashes a youth for blackmailing a girl by showing her obscene videos. The youth’s father tries to revenge Kannan for his act. Sundar C Babu was the music director. Thoongaa nagaram was also the first movie to be produced by ‘Cloud Nine movies’.

Etthan:


Ethhan was directed by L Suresh. Etthan features Vimal as Satya who keeps on borrowing loans from several persons in the town.  He plans to start a business from the money. But things don’t go as planned and he starts to evade his lenders by using various methods and using his mimicry to confuse them. He falls in love with Selvi (Sanusha) and decides to give the habit of cheating people. meanwhile Selvi's uncle Pandiyan wants to marry Selvi. Selvi and Satya leave the town and escape to Chennai. Paniyan along with a corrupt inspector search for the couple. The film ends happily when Satya and Selvi overcome their troubles and Satya becomes successful with his new cable TV station.

Vaagai Sooda Vaa:


Vaagai Sooda Vaa directed by A Sargunam is a periodic film set in the 1960’s. Vimal as Veluthambi is a teacher in a remote village in Tamilnadu. He falls in love with Madhi played by actress Iniya. Veluthambi wants to teach the children in the small village who are under-privileged. Iniya is a daughter of a tea vender (Tambi Ramaiyaah) in the village. The villain of the movie (JP) played by actor Ponvannan treats the villagers very poorly like laborers. Vimal’s father Annamalai played by actor Bhagyaraj wants his son to work in a government job. Now whether Vimal leaves the village to work in a government job or goes over his passion is the rest of the story. The movies received good reviews from critics . The movie also won the National Award for Best Feature Film - Tamil in 2011.

Kalakalapu:



Kalakalapu  is an upcoming movie which was earlier title Masala Cafe. The movie features actors Vimal and Shiva playing the male leads while Actress Anjali and Oviya playing the female leads. The movie is expected to be of comedy genre which is directed by Sundar C. The music of the movie done by Vijay Ebenezer has been launched and the movie’s release date is expected soon.

  4. Vimal your is suberb in films like kalakalupu and kalavani but please dont attempt films like ishtam .the role was really awkward
